Education on Sealcoat
The main purpose of sealcoating is to prevent driveway deterioration and to protect and prolong the life expectancy of a driveway. Fresh sealcoat adds a darker color to the pavement, enhancing its appearance and making it look and wear like new. If you have potholes and cracking, that is likely from a lack of sealcoating. It is ideal to reseal your driveway every 2-3 years, and if you keep up with it then it can lengthen the life of your asphalt up to 30-40 years.
Method of Application
There are two methods of application involved when sealcoating your driveway-Squeegee and Spray application. The method that we use at Elevation Sealcoating and Driveway Restoration is the Squeegee method because the coat is thicker and will last longer than the coat applied using the spray method. In fact, it usually takes 2 or 3 coats of the spray application to equal one squeegee coat. Although the squeegee method usually takes longer to complete the job compared to the spray, we believe that extra time and effort is worthwhile so that we can bring the highest quality of work to our customers!
Crack Repair
There are many different variations of crack repair products that we will be using depending on the depth and width of your cracks. Potholes and indentations in the driveway will likely need a more expensive repair product while hairline cracks use a product with a thinner consistency. We have the confidence to know exactly the repair product to meet your needs and expectations!
